I like a good silhouette. They’re like rare little jewels discovered amongst the multitude of images taken day to day. It’s a fine balance of just the right amount of detail and information to make the image engaging, while basically obliterating most of it with underexposure.
This is of Chipping Sodbury High Street or more accurately the top bit. Sodbury’s a very attractive place but is cursed with ample parking down both sides of the street. Great to pick up a choice selection of hand made sausages from the local butchers but a bit of a blight when trying for some decent images of the old market town.
This may not be the most recognisable image of Sodbury but it does have The Horseshoe pub sign as a clue (centre bottom of photo) which of course was entirely intentional.
